Thanks for the downer, Mynette. Can I go slit my wrists now? I mean, "Children of Invention" was only one of the most awarded films on the festival circuit last year. It premiered at Sundance, and has notable U.S. critics waxing lyrical about it. Surely the prospects are better for lesser films like mine!
Seriously though, I enjoy following Mynette's and Tze Chun's film journey. (They're the producer and writer/director of COI, respectively.) Filmmakers need reality checks from their peers. Mostly, we need to know we're not alone in our ordeals.
